in July 2019 Paul had the opportunity to visit Malawi to help build a primary school for two charities, ‘Mission Direct’ and ‘Starfish Malawi’. Spinach didn’t come along, but he appears on a mural Paul designed for a local nursery, hiding between the legs of some elephants and giraffes. Paul also took some Spinach books to read to local children and give out to a local orphanage,

The trip inspired Paul to write the story ‘Spinach in Malawi’ which is sold in aid of ‘Starfish Malawi‘.
